Catch a Drop - a school activity.

The children sang a song on how to save water and
used these props to transmit the message to the audience.
Do not leave the tap continually open while washing
your hands and brushing your teeth.

Do not leave the tap continually open while taking a shower.

Two puppets represented a drop of water called 'Ilminu'.
One had a sad face and the other a happy face.
When you save water 'Ilminu' is happy,
when you leave the tap open, 'Ilminu' is sad.

Some pictures, representing occasions when you use water,
e.g. brushing teeth, washing hands, were put up on
this bulletin board.  A red cardboard cross
was gradually put on each picture to denote that
water runs out if you leave the tap open and consequently
the actions in the pictures cannot be carried out.
Every time a cross was put on a picture  'Ilminu' the puppet's sad face appeared.

Do not leave the tap continually open
while washing the
dishes and clothes. Other props included washing
the car and watering the plants.
